Every game has helped shape who I am—not just as an athlete, but as a leader, entrepreneur, and person. My mission extends beyond the court: to inspire others through discipline, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

August 12, 2001
I was born in South Sudan during a time of civil war. Like many families seeking safety and opportunity, mine fled to Egypt before eventually building a new life in the United States. Growing up in Maine, I learned early that success isn’t guaranteed—it has to be earned through consistency, sacrifice, and perseverance.
Basketball became more than a sport. It became a language that opened doors, built relationships, and taught me lessons that continue to shape my life today.
My collegiate career included competing at the NCAA Division I level with the University of Maine before transferring to Franklin Pierce University. Since then, I’ve continued pursuing my dream of playing professionally, competing internationally and developing my game against high-level competition while constantly striving to reach the next level.
Every season, every workout, every setback, and every victory has reinforced one belief:
Growth never stops.
Today, I’m committed to becoming the best player, teammate, and leader I can be while documenting my journey for those who aspire to chase their own dreams.
It’s built through thousands of unseen hours—early mornings, late nights, difficult workouts, recovery sessions, film study, and the willingness to improve every single day.
I believe that discipline creates confidence, preparation creates opportunity, and consistency separates good from great.
Whether I’m training for the next season, building businesses, or creating new opportunities off the court, I approach everything with the same mindset:
“Basketball is my profession, but it’s also the platform I’m using to build businesses, create opportunities, and leave an impact that extends far beyond the game.”
— WOL MAIWEN
Showing up every day, even when no one is watching.
Leading through actions before words.
Turning adversity into opportunity.
Never becoming comfortable with where I am today.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. — Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
Pursuing greatness in every area of life.
Every season presents a new challenge, every opportunity demands more growth, and every goal pushes me to become a better athlete and a better person.
Whether you’re here to follow my basketball career, explore potential partnerships, or simply learn more about my journey, I appreciate your support.
This is only the beginning.
